Toon Boom Training

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the animation software we use at Floyd County for Chozen (as well as some of the more complex scenes in Archer).

I don't have a background in animation beyond some very basic work in After Effects, and obviously the keyframes I draw for the animation department on Archer. In any case, it was super fun to mess around with Toon Boom for a week, and I hope having knowledge of the basics will open up some more fun projects.

Never done this kind of weathering before, adding the moss was really fun. Still have to make a display base and do a little more cleanup, but overall I'd say its getting there.

CAPTAIN! Erin and I got a pet bunny a couple weeks ago- he's seriously too cute.

Legend of Zelda NPC's

I had an interesting idea to spend time between seasons 4 and 5 of Archer.

I wanted to take some of the lesser-known background characters from one of my favorite video games, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time", and give them full redesigns. You always see reinterpretations of the main characters, but the NPCs get no love!

I dug up a list on one of the Zelda wikis, and began alphabetically:

I'm hoping to find time to do at least a couple more- and maybe get some of the folks at Floyd County to pitch in.

Sometimes I do stuff other than digital illustration! Always fun to work in 3 dimentions every once in a while
